Dr. Kakenya Ntaiya, Founder of Kakenya’s Dream, recently delivered a powerful talk at the UNFPA highlighting the transformative power of education for girls. In Dr. Kakenya’s address was a call to action for all of us to step up and invest in the futures of girls. As she said, “When we educate a girl, we change the world.” This vision continues to inspire both Kakenya’s Dream and Women For Change as we work toward a brighter and more just future for young girls everywhere.

As we approach the close of 2024, we at Women for Change are filled with gratitude for the incredible support we’ve received this year. Together, we’re building a stronger, more inclusive future.

Women For Change is a long-term supporter of Kakenya's Dream in rural Kenya. Over the last few years, WFC has supported five Kenyan students to move to Sydney to study. These young women are terrific roles models for their community.

On 6th November, the Women in Engineering Society (WIESOC) at the University of New South Wales (UNSW) organized a vibrant Matcha stall to raise funds in support of tertiary education for young women in India, Nepal, and Kenya.

The much-anticipated Leadership Masterclass returned for its second year, with a focus on career planning and progression.

The IGNITE art event showcased work from well-known and emerging artists as well as artwork created by inmates in NSW correctional centres.

The inaugural leadership masterclass was a resounding success.

More than 76 young women benefited from our virtual Giving Event.

Time Magazine shines a light on the Kakenya Centre for Excellence

The first class of students have graduated from the Kakenya Centre of Excellence.
