Pat Price, an Australian teacher and director of the Heartland Academy in Nepal and the Karuna Private Educational Trust, works with Women for Change to provide college level education to a number of young women who currently do not have access to tertiary education.  All educational activities are supervised on site at Heartland Academy in Kathmandu and the focus is primarily on young women from the Dalit caste group who normally struggle to gain access to educational opportunities.  Heartland Academy provides tuition, tutoring, pastoral care and career counselling.

Recognising the importance of a holistic approach, Women for Change is also supporting the development of a centre for improving women’s health, both physical and psychological.
