David Vaux AM

Committee Member & Chair of the LBW Trust

After an early career in law with Herbert Smith Freehills, investment banking with Macquarie and development capital investing with the Lang / Patrick group, David has focused over the last 25 years on building health care businesses.  He co-founded and was Executive Chairman of the Amity aged care group (now Bupa Aged Care), I-Med Radiology, GenesisCare Radiation Oncology/ Cardiology Care  and Arcadia Hospitals (geriatric and rehab)- each becoming clinical and commercial market leaders.  

He is currently a non-executive director of George Clinical (an international clinical research company), Innowell (a  mental health SAAS  business established by Sydney University and PwC), Studiosity (an online university education support service) and River Capital (a funds management and private equity firm). David also is an active investor in agribusinesses.

David is Chairman of The LBW Trust which sponsors the university education of almost 2,000 students in the developing cricket playing world. He was a co-founder of Women for Change and feels honoured to be associated with this extraordinary group of women.
