Women for Change Highlights Night

The amazing Eleanor Hall from the ABC Radio, interviewed our three Australian scholarship recipients at the recent annual Women for Change Highlights night. Attended by supporters, mentors, and corporate donors, the evening provided an insightful review of the last 6 months of Dr Kakenya Ntaiya’s first group of graduates who started University in Kenya and three on scholarships to Sydney, Australia.

Several of the mentors shared their engagement with their mentees promoting a few laughs around technology and WhatsApp taking several into the digital age as the preferred method of communication! In general, the graduate students have all started their university courses in Kenya and Australia, there have been no drop-outs and our students here in Sydney – Sharon, Peyian and Linet – have all achieved credits and a distinction between them in their short time at University. We are so proud of all of them, and thank all donors, supporters and mentors for their ongoing support of Women for Change.
