Students are hopeful: “These are difficult times but we’ll get through it.“

Fatima Olumee recently interviewed Sharon and Linet about life as an international student in Sydney. While they are fortunate to have financial security and support during this time (which many international students do not) it is still not easy to live and learn in lockdown.

We are grateful to the universities for their scholarships, Urbanest and Campus Living for their accommodation and our supporters for donating to Women for Change so we can cover their additional living costs.

Hear Linet and Sharon speak of their experiences living and studying in Australia via online learning during the Covid-19 restrictions.  ABC Radio, 1st May

Women for Change is so proud of our three Sydney student’s commitment to their studies through adversity. We are glad to be able to continue to support them with their learning during this time.
