In celebration of International Women’s Day, Kristin Stubbins – PwC Partner and Women for Change Chair – hosted a virtual breakfast entitled, Women in leadership – achieving an equal future in a COVID 19 world.

Three amazing women, Dr Kakenya Ntaiya – globally recognised educator and international women’s rights advocate, Sharon Tiyo – Women for Change program participant and Medical Science student UTS Sydney and Suet Koon Lai (Koon) – PwC Director, social media influencer and mum joined the discussion which was facilitated by Eleanor Hall, former Senior Journalist with the ABC and Women for Change Board member.

This inspiring group considered what it takes to lead including the importance of optimism, courage from within and ‘thinking big’ to push ahead. They acknowledged that change takes time and recognised the value of having someone’s shoulders to stand on, so you can fly !!

Kristin concluded that everyone has a story and leadership is about truly listening and enquiring to find out what is really happening to them.

You can watch the Webcast (45 minutes), here.

If you are inspired to support the work of Women for Change you can donate to support tertiary education for the graduates of Kakenya’s Center for Excellence here now.
